Personal Museum, 2021

Installation of four boxes containing approximately 150 miniature artworks, scale 1:24, dimensions variable.

Personal Museum is a long-term project composed of removable wooden boxes that unfold into miniature museum spaces at a scale of 1:24. They contain reduced versions of works from my own practice: completed, lost, unfinished, projected or not yet realised. Within the museum, these different states coexist under the same conditions of display, without material completion being treated as the sole criterion of an artwork’s existence.

By reproducing and reorganising my own corpus, I occupy the simultaneous roles of artist, model maker, curator and custodian. The change of scale transforms the works and the relations between them, while the museum itself becomes more than a container: it participates in producing their status. The project examines the porous boundaries between artwork, copy, model, archive and proposal, and asks whether an artwork can exist in several forms—or before it has been physically realised—without losing its identity.

The museum remains open to expansion and reconfiguration. As new miniatures are added and the displays are reorganised, works from different periods, and even works belonging to different degrees of reality, can be brought into relation. The project therefore functions both as an evolving self-archive and as a speculative exhibition space in which the history, present and possible future of the practice are temporarily made simultaneous.
